The ATX Civic Hackathon (what's a hackathon?) is a one-day event, dedicated to creating tools, applications, and data with a civic purpose. The event brings together local coders, designers, analysts, subject matter experts, managers and hackers to spend one focused day working on new project design and development.

The hackathon coincides with the Code Across America weekend (Austin participated in Code Across last year too), as well as International Open Data Day.
